I think I accidentally left my art bin at my parents' house. I have all my drawing paper, and my markers, but no drawing pencils of pens, and I'm starting to get withdrawals. Working on art on the computer has helped some, and I'll be going back down the hill tomorrow, so all will be well again.

Lately I've been replacing my Prismacolor markers with Copics. They're more expensive, but better quality. For the most part I'm very happy with them. My one complaint is that they're "flesh" color doesn't look a thing like human flesh, or the flesh of any animal I know of. It's a bright pale orange. As usual for a Sunday, I had grand plans to get all sorts of stuff done, but fell rather short. Went to see Harry Potter last night. Very good movie, although it felt a little rushed in parts and purists with undoubtedly complain that it deviated from the books more than the previous movies. The dragon was very cool though. :-)

It's a good thing I get paid tomorrow (and have another check on the way from a graphic design job) because I just spent a wad of money on printer supplies. Most of it went to ink cartriges, which I needed at least one of anyway, but I also bought two kinds of higher quality papers (photo paper and presentation paper) which I'm hoping will allow me ( Read more... )

Today I went to Swains (biggest and best art supply store around) and spent way too much money, mostly on a bunch of sketch books and drawing pads. I've had a pretty good day today. Took a trip to Swains (a great art supply store) with my girlfriend, came home, took a nap, did some drawing and just had a very nice dinner. Now I think I'm going to watch some Babylon 5 on DVD with my dad.
